# STATUS — Paper2Slides

## Method
Authentic HKUDS/Paper2Slides CLI attempted twice:

1. First run failed immediately: `mineru` not installed.
2. Installed `mineru[core]==2.6.4`. Standalone `mineru -m txt` parse **succeeded**.
3. Re-ran `python -m paper2slides ... --fast --from-stage rag`. MinerU PDF parse **succeeded** (11 pages, 2 markdown files, ~118s). Stage then failed constructing OpenAI client for RAG queries: **Missing credentials** (`RAG_LLM_API_KEY` / `OPENAI_API_KEY` absent; env has `HF_TOKEN` only). Image gen keys also absent for later generate stage.
